Over the years, AMI's mindfulness based cognitive psychotherapy has proven to be an extremely effective mode of treatment for a variety of conditions. Mindfulness based cognitive therapy (or MBCT) is a cutting edge clinical intervention used to treat both serious psychological issues, and the everyday suffering that can arise from simply being in relationship and living one's life.

The Awakened Mind Institute does not accept insurance of any kind. The reasons for this position can be viewed here. Because AMI is a private pay facility, Dr. Wilson has kept his fees for service well below those of most other clinicians (even clinicians with far less training and experience). AMI also offers a limited number of sliding scale slots. Dr. Wilson sees clients primarily on weekday afternoons and evenings, and also on the weekends.
